NCHA Earnings-$484.49 -AQHA champion-Performance ROM-AQHA Points in Cutting,Dally HL, Tie Rope, Reining and Halter with 2 Grand Champioships and 4 Reserve Champions.

”The horse was trained and shown for most of his winnings by Tom Eliason of Gettysburg, SD.  At the time, Bay Punk was owned by Raymond Sutton of Potter County, SD but I do not recall where he was raised or how Raymond got him, or if he kept him.  Unfortunately, both Tom and Raymond have gone on to “greener pastures”.

I do recall that Tom said of all the horses he trained, including many of his own good Wilywood horses, Bay Punk was probably the best  athlete.  He also said that a critical factor was his length from hip to shoulder bone and that the horse had excellent ability to control, and use that length.” Information courtesy of Tom’s brother, Dan Eliason of Provo, UT.
